We’ve updated our Timber Prices page to reflect timber prices and trends up through the first quarter of 2017 (January – April). Check out the updated prices at http://timberupdate.com/timber-prices
We’ve also rolled out a few updates to our timber prices page over the past few weeks to help make data on the page more accessible. Most obvious, we’ve added a price table to the top of the page, making it quicker and easier to see pricing trends and compare various timber products.
Underneath that, we’ve updated our graphs to use the excellent Chart.js library, meaning they load faster, look even better, and work great on both desktop and mobile phones. To keep everything readable, we’ve separated the charts between Pine and Hardwood products. Clicking a product in the legend will toggle its line on or off in the chart, in case you want a more customized view.
Finally, the charts can now be toggled between 1, 5, and 10 year views. The 1 year view will show specific price data for the last 4 quarters, while the 5 and 10 year views will show the average price of all 4 quarters for each given year.
We hope you enjoy the price update, as well as the new features! Next price update will be coming in August.
